The Circus comes back to HB

Once again, the US Open of Surfing is upon us. Starting this Friday, July 20 and continuing on until we reach the finals, Sunday, July 29, Huntington Beach will be inundated with even more people than usual. Besides the normal things that the US Open brings—motocross, concerts, skating, fashion shows, BMX, and of course, surfing, this year’s US Open will bring something a bit different—a cattle drive. You heard right. In partnership with the OC Fair you’ll have the lucky opportunity to witness cattle being “driven” down PCH and ending up under the pier. What happens next? Your guess is as good as mine.

I first read about this on Surfer’s site,  and immediately went on the US Open site to investigate further. I finally found a mention of it in the scheduling—seems like they’re keeping it a bit lo-pro. You’ll have to go and check it out for yourself—it will be held Thursday, July 26 at 7:00am. Have fun!
